I've always used TreeSize (for PC) which seems to give you similar data (disk usage by folder). There's a freeware version and a paid version. It's been around a while and isn't a beta (or an alpha!).
I used to use DiskData, but I moved to TreeSize (I think DD ended their freeware version).
